On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, the Town held its monthly project meeting with State Utility Contractors to receive updates on the waterline project.   Included in this update is the status of each segment of the project.  The waterline along Hwy. 49 and Jackson Street from the Water Treatment Plant to North Drive will be complete by the end of September.  As a potential addition to the waterline project, the Town has been working on prepare engineering plans to replace the existing 2-inch waterline on Allman Road Extension with a new 6-inch waterline and a new 2-inch line on Seneca Road.  It is unknown, at this time, if remaining project funding will be able to cover this addition.  It is more likely that the project will have to wait for future funding availability. The chart and map at the end of this update show the status of each segment of the project.
