Utility contractor BRS, Inc. has made quick work of the Empire Drive Pump Station and force main sewer line along NC Highway 49. The pump station and sewer line are on schedule to be operational in early September. There is still 500 feet of sewer line left to install on Empire Drive. The line that has been laid so far has been tested and passed. This pump station will replace the older Mountainbrook and Food Lion Pump stations as identified in the 2007 Water and Sewer Master Plan.
